ABOUT

Jen Tyes was born in Buffalo, New York, on September 18, 1983. She attended the Buffalo Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, where she earned her high school degree, specializing in Dance. Shortly after graduating from high school, she fulfilled her civic duty by joining the United States Army. She suffered from an injury to her back, which led her to leave the military and pursue a Bachelor of Science degree.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the State University of New York at Brockport. She later earned her Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and continues her career in Information Technology (IT).

In her spare time, Jen volunteers as a nationally certified Emergency Medical Technician and CPR Instructor, a volunteer reader for the Mark Twain Voices of American award, and a Girl Scouts of America member.

She has written many short stories and enjoys sharing her work. Her biggest accomplishment is Mommy & Me Storytime, an adventure in writing with her children.

Jen resides in Connecticut with her two children and their dog, Gambit.
